Thank you, Carol! I was in there again yesterday, enjoying the seasonal changes and the different light of mid-November on the trees. It was clear and cold, about -5º F, but the light was extraordinary! I've never been to Forest Park or the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, but I suspect you're lucky to be near them. Maybe we'll get there one of these days!

I can totally understand the desire to study these trees. 2 acres is quite a few trees, I can imagine. In Portland, our flat is quite close to Forest Park and also the Hoyt Arboretum. I am fascinated by all the different trees both in the park and in the arboretum. After a while, they begin to feel like friends. I'm so glad you're still painting what you love.
